If you're unsure how to help your child then you've come to the right place. I will meet with you to hear your concerns, get a sense of your child's strengths and struggles, understand what you want to happen, make sense of past assessment results, get an idea about what interventions have been tried at school, and help develop a plan.

Sometimes it may take just one meeting for you to be clear about next steps - sometimes no further action is needed. Further assessment may help, however, and I can explain what assessments will be helpful and why.
Assessments and Counselling Fees
1. Initial one-hour meeting to discuss your concerns and your child's needs (this may be enough - no obligation for further testing) - $200 (incl GST). The counselling fee is also $200 per hour.

2. Cognitive or IQ test (e.g., WISC-V) to identify strengths and weaknesses and risk factors for learning problems like working memory (this will include a Vineland if a diagnosis of intellectual disability is explored) - $1,600 (incl GST).

3. Comprehensive learning assessment to explore a specific learning disorder like dyslexia or dyscalculia. This includes an IQ test and an achievement test of reading, writing and maths. It may include phonological processing and anxiety/mood/attention assessments as deemed necessary - $2,000 (incl GST).
