I provide counselling for school-aged children and young people aged 10-18 years, including autistic young people, to better understand and regulate their emotions, anxiety, behaviour and attention, to express themselves and communicate more freely, and to be more confident and assertive. I work closely with parents (and teachers) to help them to help their child and/or teenager. My counselling approach is heavily influenced by psychodynamic theory combined with the more practical and hands-on practices of CBT and ACT.

I provide assessments for:
1. Specific learning disorders like dyslexia (reading), dyscalculia (maths and numeracy), and dysgraphia (written expression).

2. Cognitive strengths and weaknesses (IQ test) such as nonverbal problem-solving and working memory.

3. The many factors that contribute to learning difficulties such as phonological processing (e.g., manipulating the sounds of language), executive functioning (e.g., attention, memory and impulsivity), and anxiety and mood.

4. Attention-deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

5. Autism.
